In the Land of Will James
In the Land of Will James portrays a mustang hunter in Montana’s Pryor Mountains during the 1920s. Perched on a rocky ledge, he searches the rugged country below for two wild mustangs hidden among the rocks. Inspired by the stories and spirit of Will James, who rode and wrote about this country. The sculpture reflects a fading chapter of the American West, when men still rode these mountains looking for the wild horses that lived there.
