Dustin is working on something a little bit different and we are excited to share with you his latest pre-cast, yet to be titled, a young John Wayne. Using a simple photograph as an initial reference from “The Big Stampede” (1932), The sculpture of John Wayne will capture the timeless presence as the quintessential American cowboy, drawn from an early still during his classic Western film era. He stands relaxed yet ready, holding a saddle in one hand in a scene that evokes the spirit of westward expansion, grit, and individualism. His wide-brimmed hat, bandana, vest, and holstered pistol will be rendered with careful authenticity, anchoring him firmly in the mythology of the old frontier. The artistic concept celebrates John Wayne not merely as a film star, but as an enduring symbol of strength, resolve, and traditional values.
