In October 2017, Dustin was inducted into the Cowboy Artists of America in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In it’s 52nd year, he is now one of 21 active members in the organization. He is excited to unveil seven new works in bronze at the 2018 show.

Dustin Payne’s wife, Tammy, and his sons Dillon, left, and Brody join him as Fredericksburg gets its first glimpse at Payne’s “The Legend, The Lore, The Law” sculpture of Texas Rangers he created for the Texas Rangers Heritage Center. The Aug. 13 unveiling depicted life-size bronze statues of the history of the Rangers on horseback from 1823 to present day. Payne, whose non-direct ancestor, Charlie Goodnight, was a Texas Ranger, said he created this sculpture because he wanted to tell the Rangers’ stories
