"Hangin' in the Wind"
2004
Limited Edition of 50
21"H x 18"W x 6.5"D

Often on the Range, an old bronc would scare, and
make the cowboy on top of him earn his low wages.  A
cow-puncher usually had fifteen horses in his own
personal string.  While working for a particular outfit,
the horses in his string would be considered his own.
If the Range boss even attempted to mount one of
these horses, often the cow-puncher would quit on
the spot.  It was another un-taught law that every cow-
puncher understood.  This old cowboy is riding the
kinks out of one of the wild broncs he had in his
Remuda.  It happened often.  Many cowboys would
find themselves “Hangin’ in the Wind”.
